Mymisses is a rock band born in Cagliari (Sardinia, ITALY) during the autumn of 2015 from the meeting of Stefania Cugia (bassist) and Marta Camba (drummer), who both had in mind to create a group entirely female and with hard rock sounds. The idea was immediately proposed also to Laura Sau (guitarist) and Giorgia Pillai (singer), who accept enthusiastic and come together to complete the line up.

In a short time a great harmony is made, both on a personal and musical level. The band makes its live debut at “Women In Rock”, a big music event in Cagliari on January 5, 2016, playing some hard rock/alternative metal covers of the greatest bands of this kind (System of a Down, Rage Against The Machine, AC/DC, Muse, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Disturbed, Guano Apes, Alter Bridge etc). By that time, Mymisses started from February of the same year a tour that still sees them constantly engaged around the whole Sardinia, passing from open air shows to live club and also participating in numerous regional festivals, including “Rock’n’Beer Ichnusa 2016” – Valledoria (SS) – and “Music Biker Fest 2016/2017” – Steel Roses, Sestu (CA). In July 2017 the band is chosen for the opening act of the concert of the historic metal band Venom Inc in Thiesi (SS), enjoying great success.

Mymisses started to compose their first songs on summer 2016 and the year after they went to the studio to record their debut album “Straight On My Way“, co-produced with RAW (Riccardo Atzeni Workbench) and mixed and mastered at the Electric Storm Studio of the sound engineer Piergiorgio Boi . The album, released on December 8th 2017 at CuevaRock Live (Cagliari, ITALY), contains 7 unreleased tracks with hard rock/alternative metal sounds. The release party concert gained a great success, with over 150 copies sold out on the same day. The album has immediately received excellent reviews both from Italy and abroad, including the historic music magazine Rock Hard Italy that defined Straight On My Way as “best self-produced Italian album of the month”.

On February 4, 2018 Mymisses released on YouTube the official videoclip of Hard To Leave, the first single from their album that counts over 10 K views on the net.
On March 2018, the band is chosen and called by the worldwide Italian artist Laura Pausini to appear as a rock band in the official videoclip of her song “Frasi A Metà“, taken from the album “Fatti Sentire” and released on April 8th. The videoclip, in which the band plays the song together with Laura Pausini, has been uploaded to Youtube by Warner Music Italy and has millions of views.
On May 25, 2018 came out on Youtube the second official videoclip of the band for the song Straight On My Way, title track of the album.
From December 2017, Mymisses started a tour called “Straight On My Way Tour”, with several concerts around the regional and national territory to promote their album, including the international participation on June 2018 at the Steelowy Motorcycle in Nowa Slupia (Kielce, POLAND) opening for Polish metal stars Acid Drinkers. In the same month the band won the Radiolina Showcase Contest and performed at Poetto Fest music festival (Cagliari, CA), alongside artists such as Train To Roots and Nitro. In August 2018 Mymisses attend to Terralba Extra Sound (Terralba, OR) opening the concerts of international stars like Skin (Skunk Anansie), Marky Ramone and DUB FX.

On September 15, 2018 came out on Youtube the third official videoclip of the band for the song Be Bad.

In 2019 Mymisses continue their tour with important dates like the “Independent Nite Fest” in January in the historic Rock’n’Roll (Milan – Italy), which proved to be a sold out success. On March they opening the Pino Scotto concert in Sardinia.
During this period the band participate at the musical benefit initiative “Artisti Per Amelia“, a project that saw the creation of the song and video “La Danza Delle Briciole” with many other Sardinian singers and musicians like Tamurita, Lavinia Viscuso and Balentes. In the summer begins the regional tour , which sees them participate in the “Concertone” at the Parco dei Suoni (Riola Sardo, OR), sharing the stage with Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil), Eva Poles (Prozac +), Andrea Fumagalli (Bluvertigo) and Rezophonics.
On October 7, 2019 they release the single and videoclip “Later’s too Late“, a song focused on environmental and social reporting issues and which sees the patronage of WWF Italy with excellent media feedback.
For 2020, the band plans to produce their second album and Tour 2020 with important regional, national and international stages, such as Germany in March and others to be defined.

In poco tempo si crea così una grande armonia, sia dal lato personale che musicale. La band fa il suo esordio dal vivo al “Women In Rock”, un evento musicale svoltosi a Cagliari il 5 Gennaio 2016, suonando qualche cover hard rock/alternative metal di alcune delle più grandi band di questi generi (System of a Down, Rage Against The Machine, AC/DC, Muse, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Disturbed, Guano Apes, Alter Bridge etc). Da quel momento, iniziano così un tour che ancora oggi le vede costantemente impegnate in giro per tutta la Sardegna, passando dai concerti all’aperto ai vari live club e anche partecipando a numerosi motoraduni e festival di grande importanza, tra cui “Rock’n’Beer Ichnusa 2016” – Valledoria (SS) – e “Music Biker Fest 2016/2017″ – Steel Roses Motoclub (CA). A luglio 2017 la band è stata scelta anche per l’apertura del concerto a Thiesi (SS) della storica band metal Venom Inc, riscuotendo un grande successo.

Il processo di composizione dei loro pezzi è iniziato durante l’estate 2016 e l’anno successivo le Mymisses sono entrate in studio durante l’estate 2017 per registrare il loro primo album “Straight On My Way”, cooprodotto insieme a RAW (Riccardo Atzeni Workbench) e mixato e masterizzato all’Electrical Storm Studio di Piergiorgio Boi. Il disco, rilasciato l’8 dicembre 2017 alla Cueva Rock Live (Quartucciu, Cagliari), contiene 7 brani inediti dalle sonorità hard rock/alternative metal. Il concerto di rilascio ha riscosso un grande successo, con oltre 150 copie vendute nello stesso giorno. L’album ha ottenuto da subito ottime recensioni sia dall’Italia che dall’estero, tra cui anche dallo storico magazine musicale Rock Hard Italy che ha definito Straight On My Way “miglior album italiano autoprodotto del mese”.

Il 4 febbraio 2018 le Mymisses rilasciano su Youtube il videoclip ufficiale di Hard To Leave, primo singolo estratto dall’album che conta oltre 10 mila visualizzazioni in rete.
A marzo 2018, la band viene scelta e chiamata dall’artista italiana di fama mondiale Laura Pausini per apparire come rock band nel videoclip del singolo “Frasi A Metà“, estratto dall’album “Fatti Sentire” e uscito l’8 aprile. Il videoclip, in cui la band suona la canzone insieme a Laura Pausini, è stato caricato su Youtube dalla Warner Music Italy e conta milioni di visualizzazioni.
Il 25 maggio 2018 esce su Youtube il secondo videoclip ufficiale della band per il brano Straight On My Way, omonimo dell’album.

A partire da dicembre 2017, le Mymisses hanno iniziato il loro tour chiamato “Straight On My Way Tour”, con diversi concerti in giro per il territorio regionale e nazionale per promuovere l’album, tra cui la partecipazione internazionale a giugno 2018 allo Steelowy Motorcycle di Nowa Slupia (Kielce, POLONIA) in apertura alle star del metal polacco Acid Drinkers. Nel 2019 proseguono il tour contando ulteriori date importanti come la serata “Independent Nite Fest” a gennaio nello storico Rock’n’Roll di Milano, rivelatasi un successo sold out, e l’apertura dell’unica data in Sardegna di Pino Scotto a Marzo.
Durante questo periodo le Mymisses partecipano all’iniziativa benefico musicale Artisti Per Amelia, progetto che ha visto la creazione del brano e del video “La Danza Delle Briciole” insieme a tanti altri cantanti e musicisti sardi come i Tamurita, Lavinia Viscuso e le Balentes. Nell’estate 2019 iniziano il tour regionale che le vede partecipare al “Concertone” presso il Parco dei Suoni (Riola Sardo, OR), condividendo il palco con Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil), Eva Poles (Prozac +), Andrea Fumagalli (Bluvertigo) e i Rezophonic.
A ottobre 2019 rilasciano il singolo e videoclip “Later’s too Late”, brano incentrato su tematiche di denuncia ambientale e sociale e che vede il patrocinio del WWF Italia con un ottimo riscontro a livello mediatico.
Per il 2020 la band ha in programma la produzione del loro secondo album e il Tour 2020 con importanti tappe regionali, nazionali e internazionali, come la Germania a marzo e altre in via di definizione.
